this is not a dealbreaker for me but yeah its pretty fucking bad. They have some time left for improving the game so hoping they'll do something... Or show sometimes that makes up for all the BS in the upcoming trailers.
the problem people are having is they're using the same animations as the 3ds games when they're saying they can't put all the pokemon in the game because they have to make too many new animation
This is what animations have been like for the longest time, play the attack animation and have some effect fly across the field. It's incredibly easy work and I don't know how they used it as an excuse for dexit
I just noticed that when the trainer is fishing and hooks a Pokemon the battle scene takes place on the same scene as Pokemon you find on land while in previous games you fought them in water scenes. SM made you fight in shallow water.
I guess that's because they'd have that ring of terrain beneath them in the last games and chose to not have that anymore to show the 'DETAILED WORLD!' it's a shame they decided this was enough to show off the power of the Switch over the 3DS instead of actually working hard
I'm guessing if it's anything like GO, all type moves have the same animation being flung at the big boss. so power up punch, focus blast, and say low sweep would have the same red effect with the fist. that's why scald and solar beam have no real animations of their own either
>its looks worse than Stadium! >game with 150 Pokemon and 164 moves >expecting a cartridge game on a portable console to include 807 Pokemon not including new Galar Pokemon and over 728 moves not including any new moves added, to not compensate somewhere Can someone give me an actual proof that this wouldn't be a massive undertaking regardless of development time with the Switch's hardware? I keep seeing people claim the Switch could handle it despite giving any actual examples or proof. Not trying to start a fight, I genuinely want to know
